Rosies War
Time-traveller Rosie finds an old newspaper, dated 19th July 1943, and spots a
report on the arrest of one Edward OÂ’Neill for murder. Rosie is horrified: this
is the Edward she met on her trip to 1900, son of her Great-great-uncle Joseph!
Remembering the brave, fun-loving boy, Rosie has no choice: she must
time-travel to 1943 in the hope of helping him. She takes her rollerblades -
and a few snacks like popcorn and chocolate. She might have packed differently
if she had known that food was rationed in Dublin in 1943! Ireland is in a
state of ‘Emergency’ as the Second World War rages in Britain and Europe . . .
But Rosie has survived harsh conditions before. The important thing is: can she
save Edward?"
